Botox
Botox injections usually begin working one to three days after treatment, with full results seen after 2 weeks. Depending on the problem being treated, the effect may last three months or longer. To maintain the effect, you’ll need regular follow-up injections.
Botox is a drug using for years to treat wrinkles and facial creases. Botox is a brand name of a toxin made by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. There are other brands, such as Azzalure. Botox is the term you hear most often because it was the first injectable botulinum toxin.
People often request the injections in the following areas of the face:
- wrinkles between the eyebrows, called frown lines, glabellar lines, or elevens.
- wrinkles around the eyes.
- horizontal creases in the forehead.
Lip Fillers
What are Fillers?
Fillers are typically used to increase the volume and size of the lips. Collagen or hyaluronic acid-based filler are a popular injectable filler with a base of hyaluronic acid. Collagen works by plumping, while hyaluronic acid works by both plumping but also holding water within the lip for a more natural effect.
It is dependent on factors such as the age of the patient and the brand used. Top-ups are typically required every four-to-six months to keep the desired result.
Lip filler treatments take around 30 minutes, and you can see the benefits immediately. Numbing cream can be used during the treatment to reduce discomfort.
